What Does Drive Restore Include?

Drive Restore includes a measured survey, a full-surface regrade, crown correction so water runs off, compaction, a measurement of the finished drive and our 90-day workmanship warranty. It is built for driveways with usable stone that need the water problem fixed so the same potholes and ruts stop coming back.

Measured Survey First
Before we touch anything we measure the driveway's grade and drainage: where the crown has flattened, where water sits and which way it runs.

Full-Length Regrade
Your existing stone is loosened, brought back from the edges and spread evenly from edge to edge. Most drives need no new stone; it migrated, and we put it back.

Crown Rebuilt
We rebuild the raised center so water runs off to both edges instead of sitting in the middle. Federal gravel-road guidance recommends about half an inch of crown per foot (roughly 4%); your proposal states what your drive needs.

Water Sent Off the Drive
With the crown rebuilt, water runs off the driving surface to the edges instead of down the tire tracks.

Compaction
The whole length is compacted as its own step, which locks the stone and fines together into a tight, firm surface.

How much does Drive Restore cost?

Drive Restore runs from $1,500 (including the $300 equipment setup fee); longer driveways cost more. The price depends on driveway length, condition and slope. It is priced by the job, not by the hour, and you get the price in writing before any work starts.

When do I need Restore instead of Drive Rake?

When the problem is grade, not just loose stone. If water sits on the surface instead of shedding to the sides, if you have washboarding that keeps returning after grading, or if ruts reform within weeks of being filled, the crown and pitch are wrong. Raking the surface will not fix that — it has to be regraded.

What is a Grade Scan and why does it matter?

A $149 measured survey of your driveway's grade and drainage. It shows where the crown has flattened, where water is pooling, and where the slope runs the wrong way. A small reverse slope is hard to see by eye, and it is often the reason a driveway keeps failing in the same spot.

Will you add stone during a Restore?

Some, where the regrade needs material to build the crown back. If the base itself has failed and the driveway needs substantial new material throughout, that is Drive Rebuild instead — we will not quote Restore on a driveway that needs Rebuild.

How long will the repair last?

Drive Restore carries our 90-day workmanship warranty, as written in our proposal terms; snow plow damage, heavy vehicles and normal wear are excluded. Beyond that, gravel is maintained, not finished: plows, delivery trucks and spring thaw all wear it. A correctly regraded driveway sheds water instead of holding it, and we will tell you how often yours is likely to need a light regrade.

Do you fix drainage as part of the job?

On the driving surface, yes: Restore rebuilds the crown and slope so water runs off instead of sitting on the drive. It does not include culverts or ditch work beyond the driveway. Edge drainage is part of Drive Rebuild.
